I am a McCain Supporter and I do not agree with everything Obama believes in. However, regardless of our views or who we have voted for, Barack Obama is now our President. He deserves respect and support. Although I wasn't too fond of Bush, it burned me up to hear people tear him down. The same goes for now. I hope we can all be mature and realize that it is our duty as Americans to respect our commander-in-chief, no matter who it is. Let us not forget, God will not give us anything that we cannot handle. This is the time to show the love of Jesus, not the love of politics.
God bless America. All my respect and prayers go out to President Barack Obama and his family, as well McCain and his family.

God Bless America!!
This was too good not to share.. From uncle Marv's pastor...
The vast majority of genuine Christians are awakening today with some real concerns over the results of yesterday’s elections. Because of the known fact that most elected democrats stand against God’s Word in many ways, not the least of which are the right to life and the sanctity of traditional marriage, most of you may be feeling discouraged, fearful, and depressed over the future of this nation. Don’t. Our response should not be one of fear, trepidation, or even discouragement.
Read the following verses:
· Romans 13:1 – “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.”
· 1 Peter 2:13-14a – “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him…”
· Titus 3:1 – “Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.”
· 1 Timothy 2:1-2 – “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”
Beloved, God is still on the throne! This election did not take God by surprise. The Bible says God ordained the results of this election and He has His plans and purposes continuing to be accomplished regardless of who is in elected office.
Yes, if President-elect Obama follows through on his promises to sign into law the Freedom of Choice Act (which would legislate abortion on demand at the federal level, rendering individual state laws as null and void) and to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (which would legalize gay marriage at the federal level) and appoint liberal judges all over this country who agree with these unbiblical views, we as Christians will be facing some very difficult times ahead. With these expected changes in the laws of our land it will also soon become a hate crime for people like me to preach what the Bible says about homosexuality, meaning preachers all over this country will soon face the choice of ignoring the Bible or spending time in jail (I have already told many in my congregation to be prepared to bail me out).
There are some very real threats to the Christian way of life. Making it illegal to preach against homosexuality, as the Bible states, will only be step one in the ultimate agenda to outlaw the entire Bible in this nation.
But here is how we should respond to the events of November 4, 2008:
First, take a look at your life. God wants each of His children to live in obedience to His Word and to be holy in all they do. 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us that it is our responsibility to repent and to pray if we desire for our nation to be healed. Far too many Christians are waiting for those they view as sinners in public office to repent, when God says that’s backwards. Unbelievers have no capacity to truly understand moral behavior as God’s Word reveals to us; they are in essence blind to the principles of Scripture. It is the church’s responsibility, our responsibility, to turn from our wicked ways and humble ourselves and pray, not the world’s responsibility.
Second, we are called to pray for our leaders not pray against them. I have seen a flood of emails coming across my screen concerning prayer vigils for John McCain and for the elections to go a certain way, but I have yet to see a single email proposing that we pray for Senator Obama, or Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reed, or Mark Udall, or Barney Frank, or Bill Ritter, etc. How many of you have specifically prayed that any or all of these people would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? How many have prayed that God would change their hearts and their point of view on the issues that are contrary to the Bible? How many of you have a heart of compassion for their lost condition and are concerned about where they will spend eternity?
Third, pray for the pastors and church leaders of this nation. As I have already alluded to, they may have some very tough decisions to make in the near future in regards to following God’s mandate to teach and preach the whole counsel of God or to bow to the laws of the land and ignore certain portions of Scripture.
Now, more than ever, those who are genuine Christians must take a stand for the principles of God’s Word, we must be on our knees on behalf of our nation, and we must earnestly pray for the salvation of our local and national leaders. If you are one who is apt to get involved in boycotts and such, make sure you are spending at least as much time in prayer as you are in writing letters and forwarding emails – prayer will have a much better effect.
Lastly, remember that God not only knows what is going on, He is in control of what is going on. We have an eternal hope that one day all of this nonsense will end and we will spend an eternity with Him in perfect beauty and holiness. We must not think or act like unbelievers who have no hope, but as children of the King who know this life is but a blip on the radar screen of eternity.
Love & Blessings,
